As a EarthOMs host, you are always able (and encouraged) to take advantage of our upgrade pathways to help you earn more. We provide vetted products, designers, and advisory allies all focused on helping our hosts to improve their standing, reduce their impact, and increase their earnings.
One of the most exciting pieces of our platform is the multiple ways that our hosts can earn more. Hosts gaining a higher tier reduces platform fees; guests purchasing products featured in their stay earns the host commissions; utilizing our baked-in credit system opens opportunities to save money when buying upgrades and essentials.Â
Payouts are typically released 24 hours after a guest checks in, with the payment amount reflecting the booking price minus EarthOMs service fees. Hosts can choose from various payout methods, such as bank transfers, PayPal, or prepaid debit cards, each with different processing times and associated fees.Â
We select homes to be featured based on a number of factors such as EcoRating Tier, new and impressive showcase homes, and popular destinations. As we grow, we may offer options for hosts to purchase featured spots, but for now we are choosing to reward hosts who are taking time to ensure their home is the most aligned with our ethos.
We process refunds by initiating them as soon as a guest cancels their reservation, but the time it takes for the money to appear in the guest’s account depends on their bank or payment method. Refunds are typically issued to the original payment method used for the booking, and guests can track their refund status through their dashboard.
Anyone who has a verified and legal short-term rental property can list that property on our platform. Please check local guidelines and regulations for short-term rentals in your area.Â
We require that all communication with guests happen on our messaging system in the host / guest dashboard. This ensures that any disputes, violations, or legal issues are able to be accurately represented and handled.Â
Our hosts get paid through a payout process that typically releases funds within 24 hours after a guest checks in. The payment is processed based on the host’s selected payout method, which can include bank transfers, PayPal, or other options, and may take additional time depending on the method chosen.
We handle cancellations based on the listing’s specific cancellation policy, which can vary from flexible to strict options. In certain cases, such as major disruptive events, guests may be eligible for refunds regardless of the standard cancellation policy
